In 1992, RITSEC established the Regional Information Technology Institute (RITI),
a subsidiary non-profit center of excellence providing training and professional
development programs in a variety of fields. During the past decade, RITI has
become a model for success in training and professional development in the region.
The UK's Financial Times reported that RITI is the "center of Egypt's drive to
become a world leader in IT…RITI is an oasis of excellence."
Over the years, RITI's emphasis on cutting edge and emerging information technologies
has enabled the institute to adapt to the ongoing changes in today's business
environment. Ranked as one of the top institutes in the Middle East, RITI develops
customized academic and executive programs in order to meet the increasing requirements
of today's business and information technology executives. The institute has built
an outstanding reputation as well as an extraordinary record of accomplishments,
with 925 executive and professional development programs that serve over 900 private
and public sector organizations from nearly 90 countries in the Middle East, Africa,
Asia, and Eastern Europe. More than 11,000 senior executives, middle managers,
trainers, IT professionals, and end users have participated in RITI's programs.
The mandate of the institute is the design and development of executive development
programs to help leverage skills and knowledge in management, business, and information
technology fields. As a regional entity, it serves the region through its operations
and activities and exchanges knowledge and experience with regional institutions through
joint program development. The goal of the institute is to link people to information
technology through the provision of executive and professional non-degree programs as
well as academic postgraduate degree programs in areas such as information and
communication technologies, computer science and software engineering, and business
and management development
These topics are covered through a number of modalities and delivery models that combine theoretical foundations with a wealth of national, regional, and international business practices and applications. The blend is intended to bring together the latest in research and development with current and emerging trends in the international market.
RITI offers academic degree programs; executive and professional development non-degree programs; executive seminars;
training of trainers; training, consultation, and needs assessment; workshops, forums and seminars; and conferences
and exhibitions. RITI has an international faculty, with lecturers and instructors from Egypt and the Middle East,
