EITS has worked with many other national and international organizations to raise awareness and promote the use of information technology in environmental protection.

• The Regional Environmental Meta-Database
  Created in 1995, the Regional Environmental Meta-Database stores information from satellite images and raster, vector, and numerical data types for use by the environment ministries of Egypt, Jordan, and Morocco. The meta-database was developed in partnership with the Consortium for International Earth Service Information Network (CIESIN).
  
  
• Environmental Law Expert System
  Also developed in 1995, the Environmental Law Expert System is based on Egypt's Environmental Law 4 and provides legal reasoning functions to users through question and answer generation and case evaluation. Organizations and individuals can use the system to ensure that their activities are in accordance with the country's laws
  
  
• Environmental Information Highway Project
  The Environmental Information Highway Project is an initiative designed to connect all departments, centers and institutes working in the field of the environment. The goal of the project is to foster collaboration among the different environmental agencies, systematize the communication of environmental data, information networking, and management. The completed system provides access to organizational web sites, value-added services, project databases, events, and news.
  
  To date, the project has implemented three web sites for governmental, non-governmental, and private sector organizations, including an electronic shopping service. The project has developed a weather forecast geographical information system, a "Green Ideas" newsgroup, an environmental law database, and a contacts database. In addition, EITS developed a database of all environmental monitoring, protection, and awareness projects implemented in Egypt.
  
  
• Environment Workstation
  The Environment Workstation is a powerful knowledge-based system of the hardware, software, communication utilities and data interfaces needed for the processing of national and international environmental data.
  
  
• Environment Information System (EIS)
  EITS created a generic framework within which an environment information system can be developed either as a system or as a center. The program generates a comprehensive study of information systems requirements, information gathering techniques, and required resources.
  
  
• Clean Air Multimedia Program
  RITSEC, through its EITS project, developed a CD-ROM with educational and entertaining information about air pollution. Targeting Arab youth, the CD has an Arabic interface and uses photos, video, animated graphics, text narration and games to reach the imaginations and minds of the audience
  
  
• Environmental Education and Awareness Programs
  EITS has also produced education and awareness programs related to the environment. These tools aid in the preparation of educational programs and multimedia interactive courses.
