Starting in 1993, RITSEC has held an event each year for Internet users and information technology
experts and professionals to meet to exchange knowledge and experience. The three-day event, one of
the most popular international workshops in the country, is organized in cooperation with the
Regional Information Technology Institute (RITI) under the auspices of the Internet Society of
Egypt (ISE). The objective behind the yearly conference is to bring the Egyptian
market up to date on the newest Internet technologies and to discuss how to best
facilitate the use of information technology in different fields in the country.
RITSEC was honored to have H.E. Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak as keynote speaker at
C@inet 1999 and H.E. Dr. Atef Ebeid, Prime Minister of Egypt, as keynote speaker for C@inet 2000.
