Environment 
Realizing the urgency of supporting the increased use of information technology in the environment domain, the Regional Information Technology and Software Engineering Center launched in January 1995, the Environmental Information Technology and System(EITS) unit.
RITSEC's environmental policy calls for innovation and prevention in addition to monitoring and reporting. It is oriented towards sustainable development as it provides tools, techniques and services for data retrieval, assessment and analysis, as well as sponsoring research and developing environmental training programs.
EITS mission is to become a world leader in providing tools, techniques and services in the area of environmental information systems to serve as catalyst for sustainable development and pursue professional recognition in the international arena.
