The Information & Decision Support Initiative
RITSEC Information and Decision Support Initiative is the world’s first led attempt to use ICT to help reform and transform a nation and provide a leading example in the Middle East and the developing world. The initiative focuses on providing the technical assistance needed, for more than a decade, for developing the vision, the program and the projects that led to:
- The
development of 1500 Information and Decision Support centers in Egypt and
other countries.

Measurable and tangible contribution to Egypt’s economic reform program and
social development program.
- Support
to innovative programs and initiatives to use information in strategic
decision making at the Cabinet and in every ministry and every governorate,
to build the nation’s information infrastructure (in all sectors).

Introducing the internet to the country.

Building the human capacities needed for the information society.

Incubating potential leaders for Egypt’s modern age who are contributing to
government, business, civil society and multinationals.
- Advise
on building the premises of IDSC and many centers in Egypt and the Arab
World.
- Leading
and building the information “culture”, industry, and the blue print for how
government agenda is set and related strategies are formulated.

Energizing a nation by formulating, delivering and coaching a “new
generation” with focus on modern ICT practices for economic and social
development.
- Bridging
the world know how in ICT to Egypt and the Arab World and bridging best
practices across boundaries to the region, Africa, developing world and the
Global Information Infrastructure.
