Think Quest Africa 2003 Awards Ceremony and Youth Camp
The Youth Camp and awards ceremony are the major annual event for Think Quest Africa. The event is usually exciting for everyone. TQA, SNA and the local partner in this case RITSEC get to witness and cultivate the outcome of a the year’s hard work, as for the participants these are very special moments not only do they get to meet their team mates face to face and interact personally with them after a year of virtual communication but they get rewarded for their hard work, commitment, innovation and creativity.
For TQA 2003, The Youth Camp was held in Cairo Egypt under the auspices of H.E. the First Lady of Egypt with the participation of 42 winners from 9 African countries in addition to 100 local participants involved with several programs with both the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Youth.
The event was held from 25-28 September 2004 in the Marriott hotel in Cairo.

Siwa Technology Access Community Center (TACC)
TACC is a local program initiated by the UNDP, Microsoft Egypt, MCIT, and RITSEC. The program illustrates the positive role ICT can have in assisting governments to reduce poverty and improve socioeconomic development in Siwa. It addresses how ICT can be used as a tool for development, the possible role of promoting its use in the oasis, specific areas where ICT can be applied, and the overall strategy for utilizing ICT.
30 of the Siwan youth received training on the following:
- Basic ICT skills.
- HTML and FrontPage
- Business writing
Two more training program will be implemented beginning of next year:
- Maintenance
- E-Marketing


Global Teenager Project September 2003 LC Results Out
RITSEC is proud to announce that 6 Egyptian schools out of 14 Egyptian schools from 7 governorates have scored 100%. An awards ceremony for the Egyptian schools will take place at RITSEC on March 27, 2004 where students, teachers and headmasters will be recognized.
